PWDs VISIT THE PRESIDENT


In the first time in the history of Ghana, the Disability movement paid a curticy call on the Sitting president of the Republic of Ghana H.E. Prof. John Evans Atta Mills at the Castle gardens in Accra, on 5th febuary 2009.

The Deligation wes led by the president of the Ghana Federation of the Disabled, Mr. Samuel Kwasi Asare, and Madam Rita Kusi Kyerema.


The visit was facilitated by the the Network of Journalists for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Africa-Ghana Chapter.
On behahalf of the PWDs in Ghana, Mr. Charlse Appiagyei (In Wheel Chair) , the ADD programes manager in Ghana presented a photo potraite of the president painted by Mr. Benjamin Nyame (left in picture) to President JEA Mills. Looking on is the Vice President Hon. John Dranami Mahama, members of the GFD, Partners and the President's protocol.
